Carina's Early Life
Raised by a single parent, Carina experienced a range of early-life traumas - from parental abandonment and illness to losing her mother in her teens and facing bullying. These experiences left her questioning her self-worth and seeking external validation, often hiding her true self to feel accepted.
“I learnt at a very young age that it wasn’t good enough to just be me.”
Despite this, Carina became fiercely independent and determined to succeed, adopting a surface-level confidence common in early adulthood. But underneath, self-worth was lacking. It wasn’t until much later she realised that authentic presence doesn’t come from performance - it comes from alignment.
“For years, I confused becoming my best self with becoming someone else.”
Career Girl to Identity Crisis
Carina built a successful corporate career across sales, HR, coaching, and leadership, achieving qualifications in people development and coaching (including NLP and Life Purpose). But a series of major life events - redundancy, divorce, and relocation - brought her the perception of her identity crashing down.
She realised she had been building a life around who she thought she should be, rather than who she truly was. Rebuilding meant surrendering control, rediscovering her values, and reconnecting to who she truly was through empowered transformation. This evolution taught her the principle of the evolution of identity and how this would continue to grow and transform throughout life.
Authenticity Through Presence, Style & Communication
Carina’s transformation mirrored what she saw in others - people struggling to show up as themselves. Whether through personal style, leadership, or communication, many were disconnected from their identity and leading from expectation rather than truth.
Inspired by Jung’s belief that the ego should be a mirror, not a mask, Carina helps others align their inner identity with their outer expression - whether that’s through personal style, communication, creating boundaries, decision-making or leadership.
In her styling work, she saw how people often dress for approval instead of authenticity. In business, she observed how surface-level communication stifled relationships, and the ability to build trust and make an impact. In both, she empowers others to lead with integrity, clarity, and confidence - especially in a world continually growing and adapting to AI.
The Empowered Confidence Movement
Today, Carina champions a movement grounded in empowerment, aligned identity, and intentional presence. Her mission is to help individuals and businesses show up confidently rooted in who they are and how they want to lead, connect, and be seen.
For individuals, this means greater self-worth, a stronger voice, and authentic expression.
For businesses, it means teams who consult with confidence, communicate with emotional intelligence and lead with greater presence and impact. At its core, Carina’s work is about lasting transformation – both inside and out.
Carina's Professional Journey
Carina didn’t follow a traditional career path. After losing her mum as a teenager, university wasn’t an option at that time - so she went straight into work, at one point juggling four jobs just to get by. This taught her resilience, work ethic, and how to keep showing up through uncertainty.
Her career began in sales and recruitment, before moving into banking - where things really evolved. She transitioned into HR and talent, joining as the first hire of a new team and building an in-house talent function from the ground up. She later led global talent programmes and supported a range of international programmes and initiatives.
Carina designed and delivered coaching programmes around sales influence, relationship and people management, also becoming an internal coach. All of this, before she’d even earned a formal qualification.
Later in her career, Carina was able to return to education, gaining a Master’s in HR Management and becoming a Chartered Professional in People Development. After relocating overseas, she re-entered leadership while also training in NLP, Life Purpose, and Transformational Coaching - alongside retraining as a Fashion Stylist, honouring a long-standing personal passion.
It was through styling and coaching clients that the clarity came: she didn’t need to choose between creativity and corporate. She could combine them to empower individuals and organisations to align who they are with how they show up - in presence, confidence, and purpose.
