BOOK A CALL

Episode 5 ‘Identity Rejection and the Need to Belong’ with Adil Hussain

As a Personal Identity Coach, I have created the podcast ‘All Things Identity’ to showcase the many incredible and inspiring stories of those who have faced challenge and / or adversity in life calling into question someone’s sense of identity. These individuals demonstrate the powerful resources we often do not realise we have to hand which help us to overcome these circumstances and to rediscover who we are truly meant to be. ‘All Things Identity’ gives hope to those facing their own struggles that they too will come through this and understand themselves far better.

During this episode, I talk to Adil Hussain, a development coach who runs Brotherhood, a community of men wanting to take accountability and control of their lives.

A Brit now living in the UAE, Adil has not always been so sure of his purpose, nor accepting of his identity.

In this episode with Adil, we cover just about every topic! From his childhood in London, growing up in, at times, a complex multicultural environment, being bullied, struggling with his weight and feeling very much like he didn’t fit in. Then onto his earlier adult life, where spending habits, cheating, ‘toxic’ behaviours resulting from a need to feel loved and to belong, plus doubting his masculinity, all continued to call Adil’s identity into further question.

And Adil’s story doesn’t end there…

Tune in to find out why Adil felt the need to reject himself so badly, and how things took a turn…

I would love to know:

 Do you relate to Adil’s story in any way?

 Are you facing something similar now and would like support to help you to get through this time and rediscover yourself in the process?

Please remember to like, subscribe / follow and leave your feedback.
